The collaboration will benefit millions in India's rural hinterlands by combining DHF's NEEM Accounts with Zeno Health's generic medication provision.
Mumbai-based Zeno Health and Dvara Health Finance (DHF) have forged a partnership to enhance healthcare in the rural parts of India.
By combining DHF's NEEM Account services with Zeno Health's generic medication supplies, this collaboration focuses on bringing high-quality, cost-effective generic medication for chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension directly to rural households.
Commenting on the development, Dr Ravi Shankar, cofounder, Zeno Health, said, "Our goal is to make high-quality healthcare accessible and affordable for everyone, particularly those residing in rural areas. Together, we aim to alleviate the financial strain of healthcare on rural families and improve health outcomes."
DHF, known for its healthcare financing solutions, brings to the table its flagship NEEM Account services, providing comprehensive healthcare financing options tailored for rural residents.
Adding insights, Vinod Kumar, head, business development, DHF, said, "Our NEEM Account empowers rural families to save, insure, and access quality outpatient care. By teaming up with Zeno Health, DHF aims to extend its reach and provide relief to more families burdened by chronic conditions.”
Zeno Health's expertise lies in supplying high-quality generic medications, focusing on chronic ailments like diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases.
The alliance between DHF and Zeno Health comes at a critical juncture when rural communities in India grapple with inadequate healthcare infrastructure and financial constraints.
With limited access to quality medication and soaring healthcare costs, families navigating chronic conditions face an uphill battle. Recognizing this pressing need, the partnership seeks to bridge the gap in healthcare accessibility and affordability.
One of the standout features of the DHF-Zeno Health partnership is the introduction of doorstep delivery and monthly refill services. This logistical innovation aims to alleviate the challenges faced by rural families in accessing essential medication.
Highlighting the importance of this service, DHF head, Kumar said, "For many rural families, traveling long distances and taking time off work to obtain medication can be a significant hardship."
By offering doorstep delivery and monthly refills, the partnership aims to ensure uninterrupted patient care, thereby enhancing treatment adherence and overall health outcomes.
In a related development, CIPACA, a rural ICU service provider, secured growth funding of INR 2 Cr from a USAID-backed SAMRIDH finance facility. This funding aims to expand ICU services to taluk and district towns in several states, ensuring accessible and affordable critical care in rural India.
Additionally, health tech provider LifeSigns planned to partner with leading hospitals to expand critical healthcare access in rural areas. Using AI-powered remote patient monitoring technology, LifeSigns aims to provide timely and essential health services, particularly in emergencies.
Moreover, MediBuddy, a digital healthcare platform, partnered with Satin Creditcare Network to address the healthcare needs of underserved populations, focusing on empowering women in rural areas. This strategic collaboration aims to bridge the healthcare gap and deliver enhanced healthcare solutions to millions nationwide.
Established in 2017 by IIT Bombay alumni Siddharth Gadia and Girish Agarwal, Zeno Health has become the primary destination for generic medicines in the region.
