Medica Hospitals Renamed Under Manipal Hospitals
This move follows Manipal’s acquisition of Medica Synergie, marking a significant step in expanding its presence in Eastern India.
Manipal Hospitals has officially rebranded Medica North Bengal Clinic and Medica Cancer Hospital, Rangapani, as Manipal Hospital Siliguri and Manipal Hospital Rangapani.
Manipal Hospital Rangapani continues as North Bengal’s only comprehensive cancer care centre, handling over 150 radiation sessions and 700 chemotherapy cases monthly.
This move follows Manipal’s acquisition of Medica Synergie, marking a significant step in expanding its presence in Eastern India.
The hospital continues expanding with 50 new beds, additional operation theatres, and a second Linac machine.
Officials from Manipal Hospitals affirmed their commitment to improving healthcare access and integrating high-quality, patient-centric care across North Bengal, aiming to transform the region into a hub of advanced medical services.
“This acquisition is in line with Manipal Hospitals’ strategy of expanding its footprint and presence in eastern India as the leading hospital chain in the region. By leveraging the clinical expertise and infrastructure of Medica Synergie, along with the combined operations of its extensive network, Manipal Hospitals will be well positioned to meet the increasing demand for high-quality tertiary and quaternary healthcare services in eastern India,” Manipal said in a statement.
The Bengaluru-based hospital chain had earlier acquired a majority stake in AMRI Hospitals, which was owned by the Emami group.
