Himachal Government to Invest ₹3,000 Cr in Healthcare Sector Modernization

The Himachal Pradesh government has announced a ₹3,000 crore investment to modernize the healthcare sector in the state.
This initiative is set to strengthen the state's healthcare infrastructure, improve medical facilities, and increase access to quality healthcare services, particularly in rural and underserved areas.
The ambitious project includes the construction of new medical colleges, hospitals, and the upgrading of existing healthcare facilities. It will focus on enhancing the availability of essential medical services and promoting healthcare access in remote regions.
Additionally, the state government aims to improve diagnostic capabilities and strengthen emergency care networks through this investment.
Dr. Rajeev Mehta, Secretary of Health, Himachal Pradesh, stressed that this substantial investment would enhance both healthcare infrastructure and the quality of services.
He also explained, “This initiative will not only address the growing demand for healthcare facilities but also empower our healthcare workers with advanced technology and infrastructure, enabling them to provide better care for the people of Himachal Pradesh.”
