Healthium MedTech Backs GIMS, Expanding Advanced Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeries for 1,000+ Children Each Year
GIMS has installed a range of advanced orthopaedic systems, including the Midas Rex MR8 High Speed Electric Drill System, Paediatric Hip Plating Set, Paediatric and Small Bone Drill & Saw System, specialised paediatric orthopaedic instruments and a C-Arm imaging machine.
Healthium MedTech, a global medtech company headquartered in Bengaluru, has partnered with the Government Institute of Medical Sciences, Greater Noida and Plan International India Chapter, a Delhi-based NGO, to strengthen paediatric orthopaedic care in western Uttar Pradesh.
Through its CSR initiative, the company has supported the installation of specialised surgical systems and imaging equipment that are expected to help more than 1,000 children receive advanced orthopaedic treatment annually.
GIMS has installed a range of advanced orthopaedic systems, including the Midas Rex MR8 High Speed Electric Drill System, Paediatric Hip Plating Set, Paediatric and Small Bone Drill & Saw System, specialised paediatric orthopaedic instruments and a C-Arm imaging machine, enabling access to specialised orthopaedic intervention for children.
The upgraded infrastructure is expected to improve surgical precision, support age-appropriate procedures and reduce dependence on referrals to tertiary hospitals in other cities.
Speaking at the launch, Dr G.N. Singh, Adviser to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh, said, “This initiative reflects our commitment to ensuring that every child, regardless of background, has access to quality and timely healthcare. Strengthening public health institutions through such partnerships is essential to building an inclusive and equitable healthcare system.”
Dr. (Brig.) Rakesh Kumar Gupta, Director General, GIMS, emphasised the institution’s enhanced capability, stating, “With this advanced equipment, GIMS is now prepared to handle complex paediatric orthopaedic cases with greater precision and safety. This will significantly reduce referrals and ensure that children receive timely treatment closer to home.”

The initiative also included the formal handover of equipment to the orthopaedics department, along with beneficiary interactions and an impact presentation during the launch event.
