Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini Launches Health Projects Worth INR 100 Cr in Panchkula

As part of the initiative, Saini inaugurated 30 health institutions developed at a cost of ₹22.3 crore and laid the foundation stone for 16 additional health institutions that will be constructed at an estimated cost of ₹21.5 crore.

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for multiple healthcare infrastructure projects worth approximately ₹100 crore at a state-level event in Panchkula, aimed at strengthening healthcare services across the state.

As part of the initiative, Saini inaugurated 30 health institutions developed at a cost of ₹22.3 crore and laid the foundation stone for 16 additional health institutions that will be constructed at an estimated cost of ₹21.5 crore.

The chief minister also laid the foundation stone for a new rest house at the district civil hospital in Sonipat. The facility is expected to be built at a cost of ₹6.45 crore. In addition, foundation stones were laid for Shakti Parivar Clinics across 23 district hospitals, with an annual expenditure of approximately ₹0.34 crore per clinic.

Speaking at the event, Saini said the state government is focused on expanding access to advanced diagnostic services at the district level. He highlighted the role of public-private partnerships (PPP) in delivering healthcare services across Haryana.

According to the chief minister, nearly two lakh dialysis sessions were conducted in the state through the PPP model during the previous year. The state also carried out around 1.65 lakh CT scans, 70,000 MRI scans, 36,000 echocardiography procedures, and thousands of coronary angiograms and stent implantations through similar arrangements.

The government also provided an update on healthcare workforce expansion. Saini said the recruitment process for 777 medical officers was completed during the past year, while the recruitment of an additional 450 medical officers is in its final stages.

Highlighting growth in medical education infrastructure, the chief minister said Haryana had six medical colleges in 2014, a number that has now increased to 17.

The event was attended by Haryana Health Minister Arti Singh Rao and Women and Child Development Minister Shruti Choudhry, along with senior government officials and healthcare representatives.
