Evidently & Allina Health Join Forces to Advance AI in Healthcare
Allina Health will use Evidently in all care settings, helping clinicians with AI-powered chart summaries, a built-in chat tool, and easier note and appeal writing.
Clifornia-based Clinical data platform Evidently has expanded its partnership with Allina Health to bring its AI system to more patient encounters each year, aiming to ease clinicians' workloads and improve care quality and revenue accuracy.
Allina Health clinicians rely on Evidently evidence-based AI tools to quickly access key details often buried within a patient’s medical records, streamlining summarization and documentation.
These tools significantly cut down on time spent digging through charts, helping clinicians make informed decisions and document more accurately, supporting care quality goals and ensuring proper reimbursement.
Under the new partnership, Allina Health will use Evidently in all care settings, helping clinicians with AI-powered chart summaries, a built-in chat tool, and easier note and appeal writing.
“Allina Health wants to be on the leading edge of providing the right tools to support our providers without disrupting how they work day-to-day,” said David Ingham, DO, Chief Digital & Information Officer at Allina Health.
“These support tools allow our providers to spend less time in the EHR and more time with the patient. They also have the right information at their fingertips to make informed decisions faster,” he added.
Built on 15 years of research on deep learning, knowledge graphs, and LLMs, Evidently works within the organization’s EHR to semantically index all structured and unstructured data, including all clinical notes, outside records, and scanned documents.
The platform delivers clinically informed summaries to support various workflows, including pre-charting, health maintenance, pre-op assessments, H&P documentation, CDI reviews, HCC risk adjustment, denial management, prior authorizations, and more.
Feng Niu, founder and CEO of Evidently, said, “It's a privilege to partner with Allina Health. We're united in our commitment to resolve the inherent challenges posed by fragmented clinical data, burdensome documentation, and the ever-present issue of limited clinician time. This partnership is not only crucial for improving patient care and provider wellness, but also for building a financially sustainable future through better documentation.”
