Equiva, Belong.Life Launch AI Health Mentors to Support Clinical Workflows

Digital health company Equiva has formed a strategic partnership with Belong.Life to implement validated conversational AI mentors on both hospital and home-based platforms.

This collaboration is expected to generate around $10 million in revenue over the next three years and aims to enhance patient engagement in both acute and post-acute care settings.

Under the partnership, Equiva will integrate Belong.Life’s AI mentors are integrated into its digital health engagement platforms. The rollout begins with "Dave," an AI tool tailored to support cancer care, followed by "Fred," designed to assist with general health, sustainable weight management, and lifestyle improvement.

These AI mentors will be made accessible via hospital-distributed tablets or patients' mobile phones, eliminating the need for new app downloads or additional tech literacy.

Additionally, the AI tools are designed to assist patients in real time with tasks such as preparing for medical appointments, translating health documents, and offering behavioral coaching.

According to the companies, this initiative also aims to close information gaps and enhance communication between patients and providers during care transitions.

Focus on Hospital and Home-Based Access

Belong’s AI companions will be embedded directly within Equiva’s platforms both at the bedside and in home-based care. Key features include:

- Real-time answers to health-related questions

- Support for hospital discharge processes

- Curated question lists for doctor consultations

- Emotional and behavioral coaching tailored to patient conditions

"This partnership takes patient-centered care to the next level by combining Equiva's reach with Belong's health-grade AI mentors," said Nir Altman, CEO of Equiva.

He added, “This goes beyond advanced technology – it's about trust, access, and improving outcomes. By embedding AI into patients' daily interactions, we are unlocking new ways to educate, empower, and engage.”

Furthermore, the companies have emphasized that the integration complements clinical workflows and reduces the digital burden on patients and care teams.
