ASMS, Huwel Expand Cubo RT-PCR Access Across India

ASMS and Huwel will work on establishing dedicated commercial infrastructure.

Hyderabad-based tech company Avio Smart Market Stack (ASMS) and a biotech company Huwel Lifesciences have strengthened their collaboration to expand the commercial reach of Cubo RT-PCR across India.

The companies have planned a dedicated sales and distribution network to bring the compact molecular diagnostics platform to a wider range of healthcare providers.

ASMS, formerly known as Bartronics India, and Huwel Lifesciences have moved their relationship towards a broader commercialisation strategy, with Cubo RT-PCR as the initial focus.

The partnership will cover private hospitals, diagnostic chains, independent laboratories, medical colleges, research institutions, and smaller healthcare facilities.

Cubo has been designed to support RT-PCR testing outside conventional centralised laboratory settings. Its compact format is intended to make molecular diagnostic capabilities more suitable for decentralised healthcare environments, including facilities that may not have access to large laboratory infrastructure.

As part of the expansion, ASMS and Huwel will work on establishing dedicated commercial infrastructure. The companies plan to recruit senior sales leadership, form specialised sales teams and develop strategic channel partnerships.

Their go-to-market approach will combine direct sales with channel-led distribution, along with product demonstrations, installation support and continued customer engagement.

N Vidhya Sagar Reddy, Managing Director, ASMS, said, “The next phase of our collaboration with Huwel is focused on building the commercial infrastructure needed to take advanced molecular diagnostic technologies to a much wider customer base. Cubo’s compact format creates an opportunity to bring RT-PCR capabilities closer to hospitals, laboratories and other healthcare providers, including those outside the traditional centralised laboratory ecosystem. Our focus will be on building the sales leadership, distribution network and market coverage required to support its adoption at scale across India.”

The companies also intend to develop an ecosystem of compatible molecular assays and consumables around the Cubo RT-PCR platform. This could enable healthcare providers to use the same system for multiple molecular diagnostic applications as the portfolio expands.

For Huwel, the collaboration provides additional commercial reach for Cubo and its wider molecular diagnostics portfolio.

For ASMS, the initiative marks an expansion into healthcare and diagnostics through indigenous technology, with the company building sales and distribution capabilities around molecular diagnostic products.

The collaboration therefore extends beyond the distribution of Cubo RT-PCR to developing a wider commercial platform for Huwel’s molecular diagnostics portfolio across India.
