Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya Opens 100-Bed ESIC Facility in Karnataka

Constructed at a cost of over ₹101 crore, the facility was officially opened to the public in the Bengaluru Rural district. The region is home to around 1.42 lakh ESIC-insured individuals and more than 5.5 lakh beneficiaries.

Union Minister for Labour and Employment Mansukh Mandaviya has inaugurated a modern 100-bed ESIC (Employees' State Insurance Corporation) hospital in Doddaballapur.

Constructed at a cost of over ₹101 crore, the facility was officially opened to the public in the Bengaluru Rural district. The region is home to around 1.42 lakh ESIC-insured individuals and more than 5.5 lakh beneficiaries.

Addressing the gathering, Chikkaballapur MP Dr. K. Sudhakar stated that the hospital is equipped with major departments such as General Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Pediatrics, and Orthopaedics. He further pointed out that the facility also offers advanced diagnostic and radiology services, along with an oxygen generation plant.

The region currently has approximately 1.42 lakh ESIC insured persons and over 5.5 lakh beneficiaries. Dr. Sudhakar emphasised that while even minor treatments previously required travel to Bengaluru, this inconvenience would now be eliminated. The facility is set to benefit workers from Doddaballapur as well as the Chikkaballapur, Tumakuru, and Kolar districts.

Dr. Sudhakar pointed out that minor treatments used to require trips to Bengaluru, but this hassle is now resolved. The hospital will serve workers from Doddaballapur as well as Chikkaballapur, Tumakuru, and Kolar districts.

Union Minister Mandaviya said the hospital aims to bolster workers' welfare and healthcare security, offering full coverage to nearly 5.5 lakh people.
