Telangana CM Announces 7k Hospital Beds in Five Govt Speciality Hosps

The CM highlighted several key projects, including a 200-bed facility at NIMS, TIMS Alwal, and 1,000-bed hospitals at LB Nagar and Sanathnagar, which will all be completed by year-end.

Chief Minister of Telangana, Revanth Reddy, has announced the launch of nearly 7,000 additional beds in five new government super-speciality hospitals.

The initiative was announced during the inauguration of a new 300-bed AIG Hospitals facility in Banjara Hills. The move is expected to be completed by December 9, 2025.

Speaking at the event, the CM also appealed to doctors working in corporate hospitals across India and abroad to contribute to public healthcare in Telangana.

The CM also noted health and education will remain top government priorities, with INR 11,500 Cr allocated to health and INR 21,500 Cr to education in this fiscal year.

"Doctors who studied in Hyderabad and Telangana but are now practising abroad, especially in the US and other countries, can give back to the state by offering their services for at least a week when they visit home. The state government will create a platform for voluntary registration of corporate doctors working in India and overseas to serve in government hospitals," he said.
