Amplify Health, operating across 10 Asian markets, will bring its regional expertise in AI-enabled healthcare analytics to support Star Health's digital transformation strategy.
Star Health Insurance has partnered with Amplify Health, a Singapore-based healthtech company, in a three-year collaboration to deploy AI-powered claims intelligence across its operations, aiming to improve cashless claims processing, strengthen fraud detection, and enhance customer experience through data-driven decision-making.
Under the partnership, Star Health will integrate Amplify Health's AI-led claims intelligence and healthcare analytics platform into its health insurance operations.
Amplify Health, operating across 10 Asian markets, will bring its regional expertise in AI-enabled healthcare analytics to support Star Health's digital transformation strategy.
"This partnership with Amplify Health will help us strengthen claims intelligence, improve decision-making and deliver a better experience for customers across key stages of their healthcare. For customers, the real value of technology is felt when it reduces uncertainty at moments that matter, when they are waiting for an approval, arranging admission or preparing for discharge," said Anand Roy, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Star Health Insurance.
The deployment is designed to strengthen claims governance by enabling real-time analytics, improving claims quality, identifying fraud, waste and abuse (FWA), and supporting faster decision-making.
Instead of relying primarily on conventional rules-based systems, the platform uses AI, machine learning and clinical intelligence to identify unusual billing patterns, duplicate claims and other anomalies as healthcare utilisation patterns evolve.
For customers, the collaboration is expected to improve several stages of the cashless claims journey, including hospital admission, pre-authorisation and discharge.
Faster claim assessments, reduced waiting times, and improved visibility into claim status are expected to make the hospitalisation experience more predictable while reducing administrative delays for patients and their families.
Beyond claims intelligence, the collaboration includes healthcare analytics and advisory services that will support Star Health's wellness and preventive health initiatives.
"India is one of the region's most significant and complex growth markets, and Star Health, with its scale and track record, is the ideal partner through which to deploy these capabilities at national scale. This partnership reflects our commitment to supporting sustainable, data-led healthcare across Asia," said Dr Axel Baur, Chief Executive Officer, Amplify Health.
