Samsung Set to Launch AI Health Platform Offering Doctor-Led Insights

The platform will utilize AI to provide personalized insights, real-time tips, reminders, and motivations to help keep users on top of their health.

Samsung Electronics is planning to launch an Artificial Intelligence (AI) health coach service in the United States this year.

AI Health platform will bring together data from its various devices, including wearables, and make it easier for users to share it with their doctor to receive better insight and care from their healthcare professionals.

The platform will utilize AI to provide personalized insights, real-time tips, reminders, and motivations to help keep users on top of their health.

The move aims to innovate the digital health market by combining data acquired through wearable devices such as Galaxy Watch and Samsung Health.

Information collected from wearables will be divided into four areas: sleep, nutrition, activity, and stress. The AI model will track changes in each area’s index and analyze what these changes mean for the user’s health.

Park Heon-soo, leader of Samsung Electronics MX Division Digital Health Team, stated at an event, “We will build an environment where hospitals and medical systems can always be connected through applications and wearable devices.”

While the hub is still in development, Samsung announced several new health features as part of its One UI 8 update for Galaxy Watch devices.

These include antioxidant level tracking, vascular load monitoring during sleep, race training tools, and improved sleep coaching.

Park emphasized the importance of AI’s role in building an integrated health platform with Xealth. He stated, “Although Samsung Electronics is a large company, we cannot solve this problem alone,” stressing the need for collaborative efforts to innovate in the healthcare field.
