QXL Diagnostics Plans 60 Hospital Laboratory Partnerships in Bengaluru by 2028

QXL Diagnostics has positioned Hospital Laboratory Management (HLM), Laboratory Management Services (LMS) and lab-to-lab referral testing at the centre of its planned expansion.

QXL Diagnostics, a Bengaluru-based diagnostic laboratory network, has outlined a 2028 expansion plan that will scale its Hospital Laboratory Management network in Bengaluru from 12 hospital operations to 60, while increasing its specialised lab-to-lab referral network across Karnataka from more than 190 to over 600 hospitals and laboratories.

QXL Diagnostics has positioned Hospital Laboratory Management (HLM), Laboratory Management Services (LMS) and lab-to-lab referral testing at the centre of its planned expansion.

The doctor-led diagnostic network has said the approach is intended to help hospitals access specialised laboratory capabilities without having to independently establish every advanced diagnostic platform.

For small and mid-sized hospitals in particular, QXL Diagnostics’ model combines onsite testing with access to specialist laboratory medicine, advanced investigations, quality systems, logistics and reference laboratory infrastructure.

Routine, emergency, STAT and high-volume tests can remain within hospital laboratories, while specialised or technology-intensive investigations can be referred through defined pathways to QXL’s super-speciality reference laboratory.

QXL Diagnostics is pursuing three connected partnership models. Under HLM, it takes a broader operational role in managing hospital laboratories, including testing, manpower, technology, and quality processes.

Through LMS, hospitals retain their laboratory infrastructure while QXL supports technical operations, workflows, turnaround times, and referral systems. Its lab-to-lab model enables hospitals and independent laboratories to send advanced and super-speciality investigations to QXL.

The network also covers Clinical Biochemistry, Haematology, Clinical Pathology, Microbiology, Immunoserology, Immunoassays and Coagulation, alongside specialised areas including Molecular Diagnostics, Autoimmunity, Allergy, Maternal Screening, Histopathology, Cytology and Immunohistochemistry.

QXL Diagnostics says clinicians can also engage its Clinical Biochemists, Pathologists and Microbiologists for result interpretation, additional investigations and clinical correlation.

Quality management forms another part of the expansion strategy, with QXL highlighting process validation, equipment calibration, internal and external quality control, sample integrity, turnaround-time monitoring, competency assessment and laboratory information systems.
