Practo Reshuffles Leadership: Jagnoor Singh Named CEO, Shashank ND Becomes Executive Chairman

The leadership change comes as Practo expands globally, increases its AI focus, and prepares for a proposed IPO.

Practo has appointed Jagnoor Singh as its new CEO, effective September 1, 2026, while co-founder Shashank ND Singh has transitioned to managing director and executive chairman.

Singh joined Practo as chief operating officer in January 2025 and has since been involved in the company’s growth strategy, operations, and expansion into new markets.

Before Practo, he held leadership roles at Bharti Airtel, Unacademy and OYO. As CEO, Singh will oversee Practo’s strategy, growth, and operations across its international markets.

In his expanded role as MD and executive chairman, Shashank ND Singh will focus on Practo’s long-term direction, product and strategy, innovation, capital strategy, inorganic growth and corporate development.

The reshuffle has also changed responsibilities across Practo’s senior leadership team.

Co-founder Siddhartha Nihalani has taken charge as COO - B2C, overseeing the company’s consumer businesses, while Rowel Coelho, formerly head of monetisation, has become COO – B2B and will lead Practo’s enterprise and corporate businesses.

Co-founder Abhinav Lal has been appointed chief scientist, where he will focus on AI applications in healthcare, research partnerships and an innovation hub for emerging technologies.

The leadership change comes as Practo expands globally, increases its AI focus and prepares for a proposed IPO. The company had earlier strengthened its board with the appointment of former Union health secretary CK Mishra as an independent director.

Reports have also indicated that Practo has been exploring a $100 Mn-$125 Mn pre-IPO funding round at a reported post-money valuation of about $700 Mn, with a potential public listing targeted for 2027.

Founded in 2008 by Shashank ND Singh and Abhinav Lal, Practo operates a digital healthcare platform covering doctor discovery, appointments, online consultations, medicines and diagnostic services. Its business also includes practice management software and the Insta hospital information management system.

The company has expanded beyond India into markets including the US and UAE.

Practo said its platform connects patients with more than 7 Lakh doctors and healthcare providers across over 2,400 cities globally, while Insta is used by more than 500 clients across over 1,200 facilities.
