Practo Brings in Srijesh Kumar as Global CPTO to Accelerate AI-led Growth

Kumar will oversee end-to-end product and technology operations, aligning teams under a unified strategy, with his mandate including enhancing platform architecture, accelerating innovation cycles, and embedding intelligence across the care journey.

Practo has appointed Srijesh Kumar as its Global Chief Product and Technology Officer, tasking him with leading product and engineering functions while advancing the company’s AI-led transformation and international growth strategy.

Founded in 2008, Practo has evolved from a doctor-discovery platform into a full-stack digital healthcare ecosystem spanning consultations, practice management software, and patient engagement tools. With millions of users and a strong provider network, the digital health platform has been expanding its footprint beyond India while building data-driven healthcare solutions.

In his new role, Kumar will oversee end-to-end product and technology operations, aligning teams under a unified strategy. His mandate includes enhancing platform architecture, accelerating innovation cycles, and embedding intelligence across the care journey, from discovery and diagnosis to treatment and follow-ups.

“We’re at an inflection point in how technology is shaping healthcare globally, with AI redefining how systems are built, scaled, and experienced,” said Shashank ND, Founder and CEO, Practo.

“Srijesh brings deep expertise in building platforms at global scale with a strong product mindset, and his experience will be invaluable as we continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible with AI in healthcare. I’m excited to have him join an exceptional group of leaders at Practo who are collectively shaping the next phase of our growth and impact across markets, and I look forward to what we will build together from here,” he added.

Kumar joins Practo with more than two decades of experience across global technology firms. Most recently, he served as Vice President at Salesforce, where he led product engineering initiatives within its industry cloud offerings.

Before that, he held leadership roles at Expedia Group, contributing to the scaling of large distributed systems and platform integrations. His earlier experience includes stints at Adobe and Microsoft.

“What drew me to Practo is the opportunity to work on problems that have a real, human impact at scale. Healthcare is one of the most meaningful areas where technology can make a life-changing difference, not just in improving access but in reducing suffering and enabling better health outcomes,” said Srijesh Kumar, Global Chief Product and Technology Officer, Practo.

“At the same time, the opportunity to build from India for the world is deeply compelling for me. India today has the talent and capability to build platforms that can scale globally, and Practo has already demonstrated that. I’m looking forward to building on this foundation and contributing to the next phase of its global journey,” he added.

The appointment comes as Practo sharpens its focus on AI-driven capabilities, leveraging its large repository of healthcare data to create more adaptive and outcome-oriented systems.

Practo recently reported profitability and is expected to pursue further global expansion, with industry reports indicating preparations for a potential public listing in the coming years.
