PM Modi Inaugurates Sindhu Hospital in Hyderabad, Emphasizes Technology-Driven Healthcare
The facility is equipped with advanced medical technologies and will provide comprehensive care, including chemotherapy, radiation therapy, cancer surgeries, advanced critical care, and over 33 super specialties.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the Sindhu Hospital in Hyderabad, highlighting the facility as a significant addition towards strengthening the city’s healthcare infrastructure and the surrounding regions.
The newly established hospital is designed as an advanced, cancer-focused, multi-speciality quaternary-care not-for-profit institution spread across 2.1 million square feet with 18 floors.
The hospital houses 1,500 beds, more than 150 doctor consultation rooms, and 29 advanced operating theatres.
Additionally, the facility is equipped with advanced medical technologies and will provide comprehensive care, including chemotherapy, radiation therapy, cancer surgeries, bone marrow transplants, advanced critical care, and over 33 super specialties.
It is also supported by advanced diagnostics, modern laboratory services, and blood centre facilities.
Further, the hospital incorporates next-generation robotic technologies such as the Intuitive da Vinci robotic-assisted surgery system, designed to perform minimally invasive surgery and complex procedures.
Sharing his thoughts on social media, PM Modi said, “Inaugurated the Sindhu Hospital in Hyderabad. It’s a laudable effort to improve healthcare infrastructure in the city and surrounding areas. The emphasis on integrating the latest technology and innovation by the hospital team is appreciable.”
The inauguration was a part of the Prime Minister’s visit to Telangana during which multiple development projects across sectors, including infrastructure, transport, and public services, were launched.
According to the statement, the projects reflect the Prime Minister’s vision of “Viksit Telangana for Viksit Bharat” with a focus on integrated infrastructure development, economic growth, and improved quality of life.
The inauguration programme was attended by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, senior state ministers, hospital management officials, and medical experts.
Located at Hitech City, Hyderabad, the Sindhu Hospital is backed by Hetero Drugs (Hetero Group).
The new hospital is expected to support the expansion of advanced tertiary and quaternary healthcare services in southern India while enhancing the broader push toward technology-enabled healthcare delivery systems.
