PB Health also plans to integrate digital services such as app-based registration, digital billing, treatment tracking, medication reminders and post-discharge care.
PB Health has outlined plans to establish a network of 500 hospitals across India through acquisitions, operations and management (O&M) agreements, and asset-light partnerships.
Supported by a recent $ 215 Mn fundraise and while planning to raise another round of capital, the company is expanding beyond insurance distribution to create a healthcare delivery model aimed at improving claims management, pricing transparency and patient experience.
PB Health plans to own or directly operate around 150 to 200 hospitals, while the remaining facilities will be added through O&M arrangements and asset-light partnerships.
PB Health has already begun establishing its footprint in the Delhi-NCR region. A 240-bed hospital in Noida is operational, while another facility in Gurugram is expected to begin operations soon.
During the first phase, the company plans to develop five to six hospitals in the region, creating a combined capacity of nearly 1,200 beds over the next two years.
Management has also informed investors that the company is in advanced discussions for raising another round of capital, despite utilising only a portion of the funds already raised.
The additional investment is expected to support the rapid expansion of its hospital network and technology-led healthcare services.
Alongside its owned facilities, PB Health is developing a preferred hospital ecosystem under the PB Care+ brand, allowing patients to access partner hospitals with a more streamlined treatment and insurance claims process.
Some partner hospitals may also be brought under the company's operational management through O&M agreements, helping expand its reach efficiently.
The company says its hospitals will prioritise transparent pricing, faster discharge processes, dedicated insurance claims assistance and reduced unnecessary medical procedures.
Doctors will receive fixed salaries rather than revenue-linked incentives, while patient satisfaction will form an important part of performance evaluation.
PB Health also plans to integrate digital services such as app-based registration, digital billing, treatment tracking, medication reminders and post-discharge care, aiming to build a technology-enabled healthcare model that strengthens trust between patients, hospitals and insurers.
