The speaker noted that the reputation and quality of Indian doctors have earned recognition worldwide and how despite limited resources, the dedication, and sacrifice of doctors and healthcare workers have enabled India to effectively manage the COVID-19 global pandemic and provide successful treatment.

India as a Center for Pharmaceuticals & Medical Research

In his speech, the Lok Sabha Speaker noted that India is developing as a center for pharmaceuticals and medical research, mentioning advancements in drug manufacturing, vaccine production, and biomedical research within the country.

"India's skilled scientists, solid research infrastructure, and focus on innovation are advancing healthcare for both local and global needs. He noted that initiatives promoting R and D and collaboration with international institutions are further strengthening India's role in shaping the future of global health," the Lok Sabha Speaker added.

Birla noted the Government of India’s strong commitment to strengthening the healthcare sector, highlighting focused efforts on research, innovation, and accessible treatment through initiatives such as Ayushman Bharat.

He stressed that advancing medical research and innovation is crucial, urging the use of emerging technologies to tackle evolving health challenges and enhance patient care.
