Odisha Clears INR 3,877 Cr Investments, Boosting Pharma & Medtech Manufacturing
Harman Finochem has received clearance to establish a pharmaceutical manufacturing unit in Gopalpur, and Ambitech Healthcare to establish a medical device manufacturing facility in Khurda.
Odisha has approved industrial investments worth INR 3,877 crore across sectors, including pharma, medtech and healthcare, aiming to expand manufacturing capacity, create jobs and accelerate its transition into a diversified industrial hub.
The approvals were granted during the 146th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg. The state has been steadily positioning itself as an investment destination through streamlined approvals and infrastructure support.
A Mumbai-based pharmaceutical company, Harman Finochem, has received clearance to establish a pharmaceutical manufacturing unit in Gopalpur with an investment of INR 530 Cr.
In parallel, Ambitech Healthcare, a Pune-based medtech company, will set up a medical device manufacturing facility in Khurda with an investment of INR 51 Cr.
Moreover, EnvairElectrodyne's electronics manufacturing unit in Khurda is expected to strengthen the Electronic System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) ecosystem. Similarly, logistics and infrastructure projects are also approved in this round to improve supply chain efficiency.
Beyond healthcare, the state has also approved investments in metals, explosives and hospitality. The projects, spread across 11 districts including Jharsuguda, Khurda and Ganjam, are expected to generate 7,565 employment opportunities.
Chief Secretary Anu Garg emphasized the state’s implementation-focused approach, stating that Odisha has adopted a results-oriented industrialisation model centred on investment facilitation, rapid project grounding and job creation.
