The facility offers advanced treatments, including neuromodulation and minimally invasive surgery, to treat patients with ailments like Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, and chronic pain.

KIMS Hospitals (Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences), Mahadevapura has recently unveiled a new Institute of Neurosciences and Center of Excellence in Neuromodulation, in a move towards improving specialized neurological treatment in the region.

The newly launched center offers comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation for a variety of neurological conditions, all under one roof.

The facility offers advanced treatments, including neuromodulation and minimally invasive surgery to treat patients with ailments like Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, and chronic pain. It will be run by a multidisciplinary group of neurologists, neurosurgeons, and rehabilitation experts.

The announcement came days before World Parkinson's Day, celebrated on April 11. Dr. Nitish Shetty, Sreenath Reddy, Chief Guest Prashanth Prakash, and IPS (DIG Crime) Kala Krishnaswamy officially inaugurated the center.

“The advent of such high-end neurological facilities is a major milestone in the development of the health sector of India. With the right technology being made available to the public, it is changing the face of healthcare for patients. Such a facility is essential in developing the health sector for those who are suffering from such complex health conditions,” said Chief Guest Prashanth Prakash, an entrepreneur, venture investor, and Padma Shri recipient.

With the launch of the Institute of Neurosciences and Centre of Excellence in Neuromodulation at Mahadevapura, we aim to bring advanced, technology-driven treatments closer to patients, supported by specialised infrastructure and expert multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless, end-to-end care," said Dr. Nitish Shetty, Managing Director of KIMS Hospitals Bengaluru.

Through this initiative, KIMS Hospitals is also driving awareness around Parkinson’s disease, emphasizing early diagnosis, continuous care, and improving quality of life for patients and caregivers alike.

In a recent development, KIMS Hospitals introduced Adaptive Deep Brain Stimulation (aDBS) in India and launched two super-speciality facilities in Bengaluru, expanding its footprint in Karnataka.
