Delhi Gov Unveils Nursing Home Management Portal to Streamline Registration Process
It also provides a technology-enabled framework for monitoring and managing regulatory processes associated with private healthcare facilities
The Delhi government has announced a series of healthcare measures covering primary healthcare, newborn screening, nursing home regulation, and organ transplantation.
One key initiative is the launch of the Nursing Home Management System portal, designed to provide an online platform for private nursing homes in Delhi for application registration and renewal.
The system enables online submission of applications, uploading required documents, and managing registration-related processes while reducing the need for physical visits to government offices.
The initiative is aimed at streamlining the administrative process, reducing paperwork, and improving the management of records related to nursing homes.
It also seeks to provide the authorities with greater visibility and access to information on registered facilities while enhancing transparency.
The system also provides a technology-enabled framework for monitoring and managing regulatory processes associated with private healthcare facilities.
Speaking about the portal, CM Rekha Gupta said, “The Nursing Home Management System Portal will enable online registration and renewal of private nursing homes, reduce paperwork, improve transparency and simplify regulatory processes.”
Highlighting the initiatives, LG Taranjit Singh Sandhu stated that the initiatives would strengthen Delhi’s healthcare system through modern technology, effective public health systems, and a humane approach.
According to Sandhu, the Nursing Home Management System portal will make processes such as registration and renewal online and transparent, simplifying procedures, reducing unnecessary administrative hurdles, and improving monitoring.
Health Minister Pankaj Singh noted the measures reflected the government’s effort to strengthen healthcare delivery through technology and public health interventions.
“Our objective is not merely to make announcements but to deliver work, results and positive change in the lives of Delhi residents,” he said at the event.

The event also included the virtual inauguration of the SOTTO building at GB Pant Hospital, the expansion of the ANMOL initiative, and the announcement of a significant increase in the incentive for ASHA workers.
The expansion of Mission ANMOL (Advanced Newborn Monitoring and Optimal Life Care) aims to strengthen screening, early diagnosis, and treatment of serious but treatable genetic, metabolic, and congenital disorders among newborns.
Under the initiative, 63 congenital diseases will be screened within 24 to 72 hours of birth. The government aims to increase annual screening coverage from around 1.5 lakh to 2.5 lakh newborns. So far, more than 75,000 newborns have been screened and over 700 children have received timely treatment, reports stated.
