Completion of the transaction would mark the company's first external equity investment.

Kuala Lumpur-based private equity firm Creador has reportedly entered advanced negotiations to acquire an approximately 10% stake in Ludhiana-based pharma company Leeford Healthcare, through an investment of around INR 800 Cr.

The proposed transaction values Leeford Health at INR 8,000 - INR 8,500 Cr and, if finalized, would represent the first dilution of promoter ownership since the company was established in 2006.

The potential investment comes months after Kuala Lumpur-based Creador expanded its presence in India's healthcare sector by acquiring nearly a 7% stake in La Renon Healthcare in November 2025.

The firm has previously invested across healthcare, financial services, consumer businesses and manufacturing in South and Southeast Asia, with a focus on partnering with founder-led companies that are entering their next phase of growth.

Founded in 2006 by Jiwan Lal Gupta, Leeford Healthcare has remained entirely promoter-owned for nearly two decades.

According to available shareholding information, Gupta holds close to 88% of the company, while the remaining stake is owned by members of the Gupta family.

Completion of the transaction would therefore mark the company's first external equity investment.

Over the years, Leeford Health has expanded beyond generic medicines into multiple healthcare segments.

Its portfolio now includes more than 2,000 products spanning prescription medicines, generic formulations, nutraceuticals, personal care products and speciality therapies.

The company also operates businesses under Cosmacia for personal care and Leeford Medi Sciences, which focuses on nephrology and urology.

Neither Leeford Health nor Creador has publicly confirmed the discussions.
