Aster CMI Hospital Launches ARISE to Expand Robotic-Assisted Spine Surgery & Innovation in India

Aster CMI Hospital Bengaluru has launched the Aster Robotic Institute for Spine Excellence (ARISE), a dedicated centre designed to strengthen robotic-assisted spine surgery through advanced clinical care, research, education, and surgeon training.
According to the hospital, the institute has been established to support patients with complex spine disorders while also creating opportunities for innovation and evidence-based advancement in spine surgery.
Beyond patient care, the institute will also focus on research, education, and structured training for spine surgeons.
The hospital expects this integrated approach to contribute to the wider adoption of robotic-assisted spine surgery while encouraging collaboration between clinicians, researchers, and technology specialists working in neurosciences.
Dr Uma Nambiar, CEO of the Indian Institute of Science Medical School Foundation, Chairperson of the DHIndia Association, and Member of the Digital Health News (DHN) Leadership Council, attended the launch event.
