Apollo’s Pune Facility Adds 100+ Critical Care Beds with IoT Monitoring, Telemedicine &App-Based Services

The new Pune facility will start with 250 operational beds and scale up to 400, offering advanced specialties including robotic surgery, precision oncology, and over 100 critical-care beds supported by digital health and IoT-based monitoring systems.

Apollo Hospitals has inaugurated a new 400-bed quaternary care centre in Pune, expanding its national network of advanced tertiary and quaternary facilities and strengthening access to specialized care in Western India.
The new centre is positioned to integrate high-end clinical services, advanced diagnostics, and digital health systems to meet growing regional demand for complex care.

The hospital includes over 100 critical care beds along with dedicated neonatal and paediatric ICUs, and features a technology-enabled environment supported by IoT-based monitoring, Telemedicine services, and app-based patient support.

The facility was inaugurated in the presence of senior leaders from Apollo Hospitals, who noted that the centre is designed to support comprehensive services across cardiology, oncology, neurology, organ transplantation, critical care, and emergency medicine.

The hospital also integrates Apollo’s digital health platforms, including connected care, AI-assisted diagnostics, and remote monitoring capabilities.

Speaking at the launch, Dr Prathap C Reddy, Founder-Chairman, Apollo Hospitals Group, said the Pune centre reflects Apollo’s long-term commitment to strengthening India’s healthcare infrastructure through high-quality, technology-enabled care.

He said, “This quaternary care centre brings world-class expertise, advanced technologies, and Apollo’s clinical excellence under one roof for the people of Maharashtra.”

The senior leadership added that the centre is expected to function as a regional referral hub, supported by Apollo’s national network of clinicians and digital platforms.

The facility offers high-acuity specialties and advanced technology, including Robotic surgery platforms (such as Da Vinci Xi and Mako systems), precision oncology with digital PET-CT and LINAC radiotherapy, and more than 100 critical-care beds, including neonatal and paediatric ICUs.
