Amazon India Launches at Home Diagnostic Service in Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai & Others

Partnering with Orange Health Labs, the healthcare service is available in Bengaluru, Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon, Mumbai and Hyderabad, covering over 450 PIN codes.

Amazon India, the Indian arm of the global e-commerce giant Amazon, has launched Amazon Diagnostics, an app to expand its at-home healthcare services across major Indian cities to enable seamless patient care.

The service is currently available in Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Noida, and Gurgaon. Via this new addition, the users will be able to book lab tests, schedule or track appointments, and access digital reports through the Amazon app.

Offered in collaboration with Orange Health, a company launched in 2020-21, the service is available through a limited set of PIN codes. It will be operational from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week.

Customers can book from over 800 diagnostic tests, get doorstep sample collection in under 60 minutes and digital reports in 6 hours, for routine tests.

Jayaramkrishnana Balasubramanian, Category Leader at Amazon Medical, said, “Diagnostics closes the outpatient loop by connecting testing with doctor consultation and medicine delivery, all of which can be accessed through the Amazon app.”

Noting that the expansion builds on the foundation of Amazon Pharmacy and Amazon Clinic, the company stated, “With this addition, Amazon has now integrated its pharmacy and clinic services under Amazon Medical.”

Prior to this, Amazon India tapped into this space by delivering online medicines through Amazon Pharmacy and launching its teleconsultation services six months ago.

With the addition of diagnostics, Amazon sees healthcare in India as a “Long-term Opportunity.”

Balasubramanian stated, “For Pharmacy, we get lot of orders even from Tier two and three towns. We work with multiple accredited sellers having over twenty-five warehouses and licensed pharmacies. When the order is received, the seller ships it, and Amazon delivers it to customer.”

Orange Health Labs, founded in 2020, offers rapid home diagnostics with 60-minute sample collection and 6-hour reports in major cities. The platform has served over one million customers, supported by six labs and partnerships with more than 1,000 clinics.

Backed by $47M in funding and serving over 1 million users, it is gradually expanding into advanced tests like ECGs and genome sequencing, earning recognition as a rising player in Indian healthcare.
