AIG Hospitals has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) to conduct joint research in digital health, healthcare delivery, and translational medicine.

The collaboration brings together AIG’s clinical excellence and innovation capabilities alongside ICMR’S extensive national research and policy leadership and is expected to generate impactful, scalable solutions for India’s evolving healthcare needs.

The partnership seeks to advance research and innovation in digital health, healthcare management, and translational medicine.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr D Nageshwar Reddy, Chairman, AIG Hospitals, said, “By combining our strengths in high-quality patient care and translational research with ICMR’s leadership in national health research, we aim to create solutions that are not only scientifically robust but also scalable and impactful for the larger population. Digital health, in particular, holds immense potential in transforming how care is delivered in India, and this partnership will help accelerate that journey while ensuring that innovation remains patient-centric.”

Under the partnership initiative, both institutions will undertake joint research studies in key areas such as digital health, healthcare delivery models, and allied disciplines.

Additionally, the collaboration will also focus on co-developing grant proposals, accessing national and international funding opportunities, and facilitating the exchange of expertise, data, and scientific knowledge, while adhering to all regulatory and ethical frameworks.

Furthermore, the partnership is also expected to include translational research involving real-world clinical applications, ensuring that scientific discoveries lead to measurable improvements in patient outcomes.
