ZoeNCure Therapeutics Raises INR 20 Cr Seed Funding for ADC Program
This is the family's second investment in ZoeNCure, following an INR 2.5 crore pre-seed round. The latest round takes the company's total equity capital raised to INR 22.5 crore.
Oncology biotechnology company ZoeNCure Therapeutics has raised INR 20 crore (approximately $2.4 million) in a seed financing round to advance its next-generation antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) program toward clinical development.
The round was led by the Tyagi Family, a high-net-worth individual (HNI) investor group based in Gurugram and led by Shyambir Tyagi and Manoj Tyagi, with participation from angel co-investors. This is the family's second investment in ZoeNCure, following an INR 2.5 crore pre-seed round. The latest round takes the company's total equity capital raised to INR 22.5 crore.
ZoeNCure said the new funding will support the development of its lead ADC candidate for severe liver and gastrointestinal cancers, including hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The company plans to use the capital for preclinical studies, chemistry, manufacturing and controls (CMC) scale-up, and regulatory submissions to India's Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO).
The funding is intended to help advance the lead candidate toward first-in-human Phase 1 clinical studies.
ZoeNCure is developing ADC-based cancer therapies that combine antibody targeting with dual cytotoxic payloads. The company's approach is focused on targeted delivery of high-potency therapies to cancer cells and addressing treatment resistance in solid tumors.
The latest financing follows strategic technology agreements the company has secured as it develops its ADC platform. According to the company, its development strategy combines internal translational capabilities with international technology partnerships.
Manoj Tyagi said the family's follow-on investment reflects its confidence in ZoeNCure's leadership and its dual-payload ADC platform.
ZoeNCure Therapeutics is headquartered in New Delhi and focuses on developing precision oncology therapies for cancer indications with unmet treatment needs in India and emerging markets.
