The collaboration will integrate Cortechs.ai's NeuroQuant MS quantitative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) analysis into the Viz Neuro Suite to enhance clinical workflows and care coordination.
Artificial intelligence-powered disease detection and care coordination company Viz.ai has partnered with neuroimaging solutions provider Cortechs.ai to expand its footprint in neurodegenerative disease care, starting with multiple sclerosis (MS). The collaboration will integrate Cortechs.ai's NeuroQuant MS quantitative magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) analysis into the Viz Neuro Suite to enhance clinical workflows and care coordination.
The integration is designed to provide clinicians with quantitative MRI insights directly within Viz.ai's care coordination platform, enabling faster identification of disease progression and supporting more informed treatment decisions for patients with MS.
According to Viz.ai Chief Medical Officer Dr. Tim Showalter, multiple sclerosis is the initial focus of the Viz Neuro Suite, but the company intends to broaden its capabilities across other neurodegenerative conditions.
He said the partnership establishes the foundation for expanding into diseases where earlier detection, improved care coordination, and timely treatment can help improve patient outcomes.
Showalter noted that neurological disorders remain among the most difficult conditions to diagnose because symptoms often develop gradually, vary significantly between patients, and frequently overlap with other diseases. He added that combining quantitative MRI analysis with AI-enabled care coordination can help reduce diagnostic delays, provide more consistent interpretation of imaging findings, and accelerate specialist referrals.
The partnership also marks an expansion of Viz.ai's AI-powered care coordination platform beyond its original neurovascular focus. The company initially built its platform around stroke care before extending into specialties including cardiology and oncology. With the addition of neurodegenerative disease management, Viz.ai is applying the same AI-driven care coordination approach to another complex clinical area.
The company said additional partnerships and product announcements focused on neurodegenerative diseases are expected in the near future.
The announcement follows a series of product launches and collaborations by Viz.ai in recent months. In May, the company introduced the Viz Pulmonary Suite to support care coordination for conditions including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), lung nodules, and pulmonary embolisms. Earlier this year, it partnered with the National Rural Health Association to improve AI adoption in rural healthcare settings and launched Viz Agent Studio, an agentic AI platform that enables health systems to build and deploy customizable care pathways.
Founded in 2016, Viz.ai says its platform is now deployed across more than 2,000 hospitals in the United States, reaching approximately two-thirds of the country's population.
