Ultrahuman Adds Real-Time Heart Check-Ins to Ring PRO
The feature is available through the Ultrahuman app and is designed to provide a snapshot of heart activity at a specific moment.
Ultrahuman has launched Heart Scan, a new on-demand heart check-in feature for its Ring PRO wearable, allowing eligible members in the US to take a 60-second heart reading at no additional cost.
The feature is available through the Ultrahuman app and is designed to provide a snapshot of heart activity at a specific moment. Members can initiate a scan after exercise, during periods of stress, while resting, or at other times when they want to check their heart data.
Ultrahuman Ring PRO already tracks longer-term heart metrics, including resting heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV), as well as overnight recovery. Heart Scan adds a point-in-time reading to this passive monitoring.
To use the feature, eligible members can start a scan from the Ultrahuman app's Dashboard. During the 60-second scan, users are required to remain still while the Ring PRO captures the pulse signal. The signal is analyzed using software from FibriCheck, with the results displayed in the app.
Following each scan, users receive a downloadable report containing the pulse recording from the session, a tachogram, and a Lorenz plot showing beat-to-beat timing. The reports can be retained for personal records.
Heart Scan also works alongside Ultrahuman's Cardio Adaptability PowerPlug, which uses HRV trends to provide information on overnight recovery patterns. While Cardio Adaptability focuses on how the heart responds over time, Heart Scan provides a reading from a specific moment.
“Your heart tells a story all day long, and Ring PRO has always been there to capture it. With Heart Scan, members can now check in on their heart the moment they want to,” said Mohit Kumar, CEO and founder of Ultrahuman.
Heart Scan is currently available in the US for eligible Ring PRO members, who can activate their free scans through the Ultrahuman Dashboard. The feature requires Ultrahuman app version 4.3.0 or later on iOS and version 3.2.0.0 or later on Android.
Ultrahuman states that Heart Scan is a general wellness feature and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate or prevent any disease or medical condition. It does not detect heart attacks or other cardiac conditions and is not a replacement for professional medical advice or treatment.
