Muhammed Shameem has been named Chief Operating Officer of Sunrise Hospital, Kulanada, bringing nearly a decade of experience in hospital administration, operations, and business development as the healthcare provider looks to enhance patient care, operational efficiency, and long-term growth.

Shameem brings more than nine years of experience in hospital administration, operations management, and business development, having worked across multiple healthcare institutions in Kerala.

Before joining Sunrise Hospital, Kulanada, he served as General Manager at Aishal Medicity in Kasaragod, where he led hospital-wide operations, coordinated cross-functional teams, and focused on improving patient care, financial sustainability, and service quality.

In announcing the appointment, Sunrise Hospital, Kulanada said, "With his leadership, expertise, and vision, we look forward to strengthening our commitment to excellence in healthcare and delivering even greater value to our patients and community."

Throughout his career, Shameem has overseen key operational areas including human resources, finance, pharmacy, emergency services, and patient care.

His experience includes implementing Hospital Information Systems (HIS) to digitize patient records, standardizing standard operating procedures (SOPs), improving compliance frameworks, and introducing workflow enhancements aimed at increasing operational efficiency and accountability.

At Aishal Medicity, he spearheaded initiatives to optimize hospital operations through strategic resource planning, performance monitoring, and data-driven decision-making.

Before this, Shameem held leadership roles at Asha Hospital, Vadakara, where he served as Operations Manager, Manager, and PRO & Assistant Manager.

During these assignments, he focused on streamlining patient workflows, enhancing emergency response systems, digitizing hospital processes, and strengthening coordination across departments.

Academically, Shameem holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Madurai Kamaraj University, an MBA in Hospitality Administration and Management from Alagappa University, and an Advanced Diploma in Operations Management from the Indian School of Business Management and Administration.
