San Francisco-based Precision neurology company Rune Labs has launched StrivePD Guardian, an AI companion aimed at supporting individuals with Parkinson’s disease through continuous monitoring and personalized insights.

The new solution is built on Anthropic’s Claude and integrates Rune Labs proprietary dataset, including extensive longitudinal data derived from wearable devices and clinically validated algorithms.

The AI companion is designed to provide real-time insights and context-aware support by analyzing patient data, including symptom patterns, medication usage, and daily health inputs.

The platform seeks to assist patients, caregivers, and clinicians in better understanding disease progression and managing care more effectively.

Additionally, the AI system operates through an Agentic feature built specifically for Parkinson's disease, which automatically routes to specialized modules such as medication guidance, symptom interpretation, and behavioural coaching.

This feature is expected to enable more targeted responses based on specific patient needs without requiring patients to navigate menus or select tools.

Further, the platform integrates continuous data streams from wearable devices and patient-reported inputs to generate insights on symptom fluctuations and treatment response.

These insights are intended to support clinical decision-making and improve communication between patients and healthcare providers.

Furthermore, the platform has been developed with clinical oversight, leveraging cautious language and including safety guardrails, which are expected to enable patients to seek medical attention when high-risk symptoms are detected.

Commenting on the new launch, Amy Franzen, CEO of Rune Labs, said, “People with Parkinson’s live with symptoms that change hour-to-hour. StrivePD Guardian provides support in those moments, translating continuous symptom changes into clearer understanding, better management, and more productive clinical visits.”
