Global healthcare company Roche has announced the establishment of its second digital technology hub in Hyderabad, expanding its digital operations in India alongside its existing technology center in Pune. The Hyderabad facility is expected to become fully operational in the first quarter of 2027 and will support the company's global digital transformation initiatives. He added that the Hyderabad hub will focus on building scalable digital innovations that enhance patient outcomes and support the company's long-term healthcare strategy.

The Hyderabad center will work alongside Roche's Pune facility, with both locations serving as key digital technology hubs for the company's global operations. The sites will house specialized teams delivering information technology services and digital applications across several functions, including biostatistics, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), medical safety systems, and life sciences applications.

Commenting on the expansion, Raja Jamalamadaka, Vice President and Site Head for Roche's Pune and Hyderabad locations, said the additional facility will strengthen the company's ability to develop and deliver next-generation digital and technology solutions across its global business.

The expansion underscores India's growing role as a strategic technology destination for multinational healthcare and pharmaceutical companies investing in digital innovation. By leveraging the country's technology talent and innovation ecosystem, Roche aims to accelerate the development of advanced digital platforms, artificial intelligence, and data-driven solutions that support healthcare delivery worldwide.

The Hyderabad hub represents Roche's latest investment in strengthening its global technology infrastructure as demand for digital healthcare capabilities continues to grow across the pharmaceutical industry.
