Regency Health Launches 475-Bed Hospital in Kanpur, Expands State Capacity to 1,400+ Beds

The new facility adds nine advanced modular operation theatres and more than 110 ICU beds to Regency Health Kanpur's existing infrastructure.

Regency Health has launched a new 475-bed hospital in Kanpur, taking its total bed capacity across Uttar Pradesh to more than 1,400 beds across nine healthcare facilities. The approximately 4 lakh sq. ft. facility expands the Regency Health Sarvodaya Nagar complex to 775 beds.

The new facility adds nine advanced modular operation theatres and more than 110 ICU beds to Regency Health Kanpur's existing infrastructure. With the expansion, the integrated healthcare complex will have 775 beds, 18 advanced modular operation theatres and more than 200 ICU beds across three towers spanning approximately 8 lakh sq. ft.

The facility includes several advanced medical and surgical capabilities, including the Da Vinci X Robotic Surgical System, a digital subtraction angiography (DSA) lab for neurointervention, LINAC Halcyon radiotherapy, a Gamma Camera and a 3 Tesla MRI.

The expansion was announced by Dr. Atul Kapoor, chairman and managing director, Regency Health; Dr. Rashmi Kapoor, director, Regency Health; and Abhishek Kapoor, CEO, Regency Health, along with the company’s leadership team.

Dr. Atul Kapoor said the expansion is part of Regency Health’s efforts to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and clinical capabilities in Kanpur and across Uttar Pradesh.

Abhishek Kapoor said the integrated complex has been developed to expand access to advanced medical technologies in the city. He highlighted robotic surgery, neurointervention, radiotherapy, nuclear medicine and advanced imaging among the capabilities available at the facility.

The new hospital also includes facilities focused on patient and family requirements, including dedicated spaces for patients and relatives, family accommodation and technology-enabled services.

According to Regency Health, the latest expansion takes its healthcare network in Uttar Pradesh to more than 1,400 beds across nine facilities located in major cities across the state.
