Medanta Plans 350+ Bed Hospital in Ghaziabad, Acquires Land for INR 165.82 Cr

The proposed hospital is intended to provide tertiary and quaternary healthcare services to patients in Ghaziabad and surrounding catchment areas.

Global Health Limited, operator of Medanta hospitals, has been allotted a 10,560-square-meter land parcel in Siddharth Vihar Yojna, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, for approximately INR 165.82 crore to develop a proposed 350+ bed hospital, expanding its healthcare presence in the Delhi-NCR market.

The land parcel was allotted by the Uttar Pradesh Housing & Development Board (UPAVP) on a freehold basis through an online auction. The proposed hospital is intended to provide tertiary and quaternary healthcare services to patients in Ghaziabad and surrounding catchment areas.

The development is subject to customary and statutory approvals, along with approval from Global Health’s Board of Directors. The company has not disclosed a construction or operational timeline for the proposed facility.

The approximately 10,560-square-meter site is located in Siddharth Vihar, a developing area of Ghaziabad. The proposed hospital would be designed as an integrated healthcare facility serving the growing demand for advanced medical care in the city and nearby areas.

According to the company, the proposed facility could leverage Medanta’s clinical expertise, medical talent, technology and existing healthcare ecosystem. The hospital would add to Global Health’s network of multi-specialty tertiary care facilities across North and East India.

The land was acquired for approximately INR 165.82 crore through UPAVP’s online auction process. The transaction provides the company with a site for a potential large-scale hospital development in the Delhi-NCR region.
