Kedaara Capital Acquires 51% Stake In Tynor Orthotics For $200 Mn

Based in Mohali, Punjab, Tynor manufactures orthopaedic supports, mobility aids, rehabilitation products, and sports performance products.

Kedaara Capital has acquired approximately a 51% stake in Tynor Orthotics for about $200 million, expanding the private equity firm’s healthcare and medical devices portfolio.

Based in Mohali, Punjab, Tynor manufactures orthopaedic supports, mobility aids, rehabilitation products and sports performance products. Founded in 1993, the company has built a distribution network spanning more than 300,000 retail outlets and 8,000 hospitals across 60 countries, according to the company.

Tynor said its products have reached more than 100 million people globally. The company operates three manufacturing facilities and focuses on lean manufacturing and globally compliant production capabilities.

Following the transaction, Kedaara will partner with Tynor’s existing promoters, Dr. P.J. Singh and A.J. Singh, along with the professional management team and French orthopaedic company Thuasne. Thuasne has been a strategic partner in Tynor since 2010.

The partnership will focus on expanding Tynor’s presence across Indian and international markets, strengthening its manufacturing capabilities and developing a broader orthopaedic and wellness platform.

The investment comes as Kedaara expands its exposure to India’s medical devices sector. The firm said the Tynor transaction represents an opportunity to invest in an established player in orthopaedic supports and rehabilitation.

“India's medical devices sector is among the fastest-growing globally, and Tynor represents a rare opportunity to partner with a category leader in orthopaedic supports and rehabilitation,” said Sunish Sharma, founder and managing partner at Kedaara Capital.

The acquisition gives Kedaara a majority position in Tynor while retaining the involvement of the company’s existing promoters, management and strategic partner Thuasne in the business.
