HRV Pharma Unveils India's First AI-Native Pharmaceutical Operating System 'RIKO' to Strengthen Pharma Decision-Making

RIKO combines ten federated reasoning models that continuously learn through a shared contextual architecture, enabling the platform to evaluate multiple parameters simultaneously before decisions are finalised.

Hyderabad-based HRV Pharma has unveiled India's first AI-native pharmaceutical operating system, RIKO, designed to improve sourcing, regulatory, quality, and manufacturing decisions.

Built using the company's operational knowledge accumulated over seven years, the platform has been designed to help manufacturers, suppliers, and licensing partners identify potential risks earlier and make faster, data-driven decisions.

HRV Pharma said RIKO has been developed entirely in-house using millions of proprietary pharmaceutical decisions generated through its network of more than 50 FDA- and EU-GMP-certified manufacturing partners and customers across 55 countries.

Rather than relying primarily on publicly available information, the company said the AI-native pharmaceutical operating system has been trained on real operational workflows covering sourcing, manufacturing, regulatory processes, quality management, and commercial operations.

Commenting on the launch, Hari Kiran Chereddi, Founder, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, HRV Pharma, said, “We didn’t begin by asking how AI could fit into our business. We started by asking why the same preventable problems continue to surface years after critical manufacturing and sourcing decisions have already been made. That question became the foundation of RIKO.”

“Large language models have become increasingly accessible. Manufacturing capacity can be expanded. Technology can be replicated. What takes years to build is institutional intelligence, the accumulated understanding of how pharmaceutical decisions actually unfold across chemistry, regulation, quality, supply, and commercialization. We believe that will define the next generation of industry leaders,” he added.

RIKO combines ten federated reasoning models that continuously learn through a shared contextual architecture.

This enables the platform to evaluate multiple parameters simultaneously, including chemistry risk, nitrosamine potential, supplier reliability, manufacturing capability, regulatory history, commercial alignment, and market signals before sourcing commitments or licensing decisions are finalised.

HRV Pharma stated that the platform currently achieves 94% predictive accuracy in identifying potential nitrosamine-related risk patterns during early assessments, enabling technical teams to investigate concerns before they emerge during conventional review processes.

The company also said supplier qualification timelines have been reduced by 85%, cutting processes that previously took four to eight weeks while maintaining human oversight for final approval.

In addition, inbound commercial enquiries can be assessed, matched with suitable suppliers, and prioritised in under two seconds.

For manufacturing partners, the AI-native pharmaceutical operating system is intended to replace lengthy qualification procedures with a faster and more transparent evaluation process.

For customers and licensing partners, the platform is designed to surface quality, compliance, and supply risks before agreements are signed, reducing the likelihood of issues being discovered during audits or after products reach the market.
