Google Health Partners with Flo Health to Expand Women’s Health Tracking
The companies also plan to work on women’s health research and develop products combining Flo’s health insights with Google’s wearable hardware and sensor technology.
Google Health has announced a multi-year partnership with UK-based digital women's health company Flo Health to integrate new health-tracking features for its wearables, including adding reproductive health, glucose, and clinical laboratory data into its Google Health app.
The collaboration will connect information tracked through the Flo app with health data available through Google Health.
Alongside the partnership, Google Health has made a strategic investment in Flo.
The partnership will connect Flo with Google Health's wearables and personalized coaching through Google Health Coach, combining the deepest understanding of women's health with continuous signals from the wrist.
Through the collaboration, Google Health aims to provide a complete view of overall well-being across all phases and stages of life, from periods to pregnancy to perimenopause.
The integration, expected to begin in early 2027, will allow users who provide consent to connect their Flo and Google Health apps.
The linked data will combine menstrual cycle information with wearable metrics such as resting heart rate, heart rate variability, skin temperature, respiratory rate, and sleep patterns.
The companies also plan to collaborate on women’s health research, which may focus on perimenopause, pregnancy, polyendocrine metabolic ovarian syndrome (PMOS), and postpartum recovery.
Additionally, the companies will work on developing new products combining Flo’s health insights with Google’s wearable hardware and sensor technology.
Further, Google Health Premium subscribers will be able to use eligible Flo data with Google Health Coach to receive cycle-aware coaching based on information such as sleep, recovery, and cycle phase.
Commenting on the partnership, Dmitry Gurski, co-founder and CEO of Flo Health, said, "Flo has spent more than a decade earning the trust of millions of women who rely on us to learn more about what their cycles and life stages really look like. Together with Google Health, we're building on that trust through a privacy-first approach to give every woman insight that is personal, continuous, and grounded in science, from her first period to menopause."
