GE HealthCare Expands Breast Imaging Portfolio with Invenia ABUS Prime & ABUS StreamVue

GE HealthCare has expanded its breast imaging portfolio with the launch of Invenia ABUS (Automated Breast Ultrasound) Prime and ABUS StreamVue.

The technologies are designed to support supplemental screening for women with dense breast tissue and improve enterprise-wide imaging workflows.

Together, the solutions are intended to help healthcare providers standardise 3D breast ultrasound acquisition, enable remote image review, and simplify deployment across multi-site imaging networks.

Designed for use alongside mammography, Invenia ABUS Prime supports supplemental breast cancer screening and incorporates AI-enabled imaging capabilities, including the cSound Imageformer, Scan Quality Assessment, and Auto Nipple Detection powered by Verisound AI.

According to the company, these features are intended to improve scan consistency and image quality.

The AI-supported reading is powered by QVCAD and has demonstrated a 33% reduction in reading time and up to 93% sensitivity for lesion detection.

Alongside the ultrasound platform, GE HealthCare introduced ABUS StreamVue, a browser-based enterprise viewer designed to facilitate remote image review and simplify deployment across healthcare organisations.

Developed in collaboration with Candelis, the solution is intended to support standardised image presentation while reducing installation and maintenance requirements across imaging networks.

Together with Invenia ABUS Prime, this technology aims to facilitate faster reads, remote reading and easier comparisons across sites, while assisting IT teams in managing ultrasound systems more simply across the enterprise/
