Even Hospital, Canara Surgicals Collaborate to Support Minimally Invasive Surgeries
As part of the partnership, Canara Surgicals has installed its medical-grade Angelas diode laser system, calibrated at a 1470 nm wavelength, at the multi-speciality hospital.
Even Hospital has entered into a long-term collaboration with Canara Surgicals to support minimally invasive surgeries through the deployment of laser-based medical devices at its facility on Race Course Road.
As part of the partnership, Canara Surgicals has installed its medical-grade Angelas diode laser system, calibrated at a 1470 nm wavelength, at the multi-speciality hospital. The device will be used across departments including vascular surgery, interventional radiology, proctology, ENT, cosmetic procedures, and gynaecology.
The technology enables procedures such as endovenous ablation for varicose veins, haemorrhoidectomy for piles, and percutaneous laser disc decompression (PLDD) for spinal conditions, along with other microsurgeries.
The collaboration is aimed at improving surgical precision and reducing recovery time through minimally invasive approaches. Laser-based procedures typically involve smaller incisions compared to conventional surgery, which can lead to reduced bleeding, lower post-operative pain, and shorter hospital stays. In some cases, patients may be discharged on the same or next day.
Shreyas S. Naik, Director, Canara Surgicals, said, “Our focus has always been on enabling better clinical outcomes with the right technology. Canara Surgicals’ latest partnership with Even Hospital marks another pivotal step in that direction, reflecting our shared vision of fast-tracking and improving patient outcomes and elevating care, while parallely reducing the emotional and financial burden associated with surgeries and long hospital stays. It also represents a remarkable evolution in care delivery – wherein Canara Surgicals’ advanced laser technology devices play a critical role in supporting better, more efficient healthcare via minimally invasive procedures.”
Even Hospital operates as a multi-speciality healthcare provider with a focus on coordinated care, technology integration, and continuity across treatment stages. Canara Surgicals, founded in 2023, supplies medical equipment for minimally invasive procedures and has received approval from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) to distribute its products in India.
The company currently operates through a distributor network across the country, with most deployments concentrated in tier-1 and tier-2 cities. It is also exploring a pay-per-use model to expand access to advanced surgical technologies in smaller towns.
Animesh Roy, CEO, Even Hospital, said, “At Even Hospital, we believe healthcare should be proactive, precise, and squarely centered around patient outcomes. Our collaboration with Canara Surgicals reflects a shared commitment to bringing advanced medical technologies that improve recovery, reduce complications, and make high-quality care more accessible. By integrating laser-enabled minimally invasive procedures across specialties, we are able to offer patients treatments that are not only clinically effective, but also far less disruptive to their everyday lives enabling faster recovery, shorter hospital stays, and a significantly better overall care experience.”
