Digital Health News (DHN), India's #1 dedicated digital health intelligence and knowledge platform, and the Telemedicine Society of India (TSI), the country's apex professional body for telemedicine, have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the DHN City Meetup Kochi, held on 27 June 2026, marking a collaborative push to strengthen India’s digital health and telemedicine ecosystem.

The partnership brings together DHN’s ecosystem reach and knowledge-driven platform with TSI’s national network of telemedicine practitioners, clinicians, and researchers to deepen engagement across India’s evolving healthcare landscape.

The MoU was signed by Vishnu Saxena, Founder & CEO of DHN, and Dr. Sunil Shroff, President of the Telemedicine Society of India, in the presence of Dr Uma Nambiar, Vice President, TSI; Dr. Umashankar S, Honorary Secretary, TSI, along with healthcare leaders, innovators, and industry stakeholders attending the event.

At its core, the collaboration focuses on building structured platforms for knowledge exchange and ecosystem engagement in digital health. This includes joint initiatives around thought leadership, expert dialogue, research-led publications, and curated conversations on telemedicine, artificial intelligence, and the future of technology-enabled healthcare delivery in India.

Speaking on the partnership, Vishnu Saxena, Founder & CEO, Digital Health News, said, "This collaboration is about building a stronger, more connected digital health ecosystem where knowledge, innovation, and clinical expertise come together to drive meaningful impact. DHN has always focused on enabling conversations that matter, and this partnership strengthens that vision."

Adding comments, Dr. Uma Nambiar, Vice President, Telemedicine Society of India, said, “India is at a crucial moment in its digital health journey, and partnerships like this bring the right synergy between clinical expertise and ecosystem of innovation, research and demands of the population. At TSI, we are committed to ensuring that telemedicine is not just a tool available to a few, but a meaningfully integrated mainstream discipline within the healthcare delivery system for better patient outcomes and improved access to quality care to the last mile."

The alliance also aims to strengthen industry dialogue by bringing together clinicians, startups, policymakers, and healthcare enterprises to explore challenges and emerging opportunities in scaling digital healthcare solutions nationwide.

Speaking on the collaboration, Dr. Umashankar S, Honorary Secretary, Telemedicine Society of India, said, "This partnership brings together clinical expertise and ecosystem intelligence at a critical time for Indian healthcare. Telemedicine is no longer an emerging concept; it is becoming foundational to healthcare delivery. Collaborations like this will help strengthen knowledge systems, improve adoption, and support meaningful integration of digital health into practice."

The MoU signed at the Kochi City Meetup reflects the growing importance of ecosystem-led partnerships in India’s healthcare transformation, where collaboration between clinical networks and digital platforms is increasingly shaping innovation and adoption.
