Desun Hospitals has appointed Syed Kadam Murshed as its Chief Information Officer (CIO), marking a new leadership addition as the hospital focuses on advancing its digital transformation journey.

Announcing the development on LinkedIn, Murshed said, "I am delighted to share that I have joined Desun Hospitals as Chief Information Officer (CIO)."

In this role, the Desun CIO aims to strengthen technology governance, modernise enterprise architecture, enable innovation, and create a strong digital foundation that supports sustainable growth

"This new chapter presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the digital transformation of healthcare by aligning technology with clinical excellence and business strategy," he added.

Prior to joining Desun Hospitals, Murshed served as Head of Information Technology Operations and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Metropolis Healthcare.

Over the course of his career, he has also held leadership positions at Tata Cancer Care Foundation, DXC Technology, Future Oncology Hospital, Medica Hospitals, Videocon Industries, and Zee Telefilms.

Highlighting his priorities, Murshed said, "Healthcare is evolving rapidly through AI, data-driven decision-making, interoperability, cybersecurity, and patient-centric digital experiences. I look forward to working with the leadership team, clinicians, and colleagues to build a resilient, secure, and future-ready technology ecosystem that enhances patient care and operational excellence."

Murshed also expressed gratitude to the hospital's leadership and those who have supported him throughout his career.
