The merger, first announced in November 2024, brings together the Aster DM, CARE Hospitals, Evercare, and KIMSHEALTH brands under a single entity.

Aster DM Healthcare and Quality Care India Limited (QCIL) have completed their merger, forming Aster DM Quality Care Limited, a combined healthcare network comprising 39 hospitals across 28 cities with more than 10,600 beds. The merger, first announced in November 2024, brings together the Aster DM, CARE Hospitals, Evercare, and KIMSHEALTH brands under a single entity.

As part of the leadership structure, Dr. Azad Moopen will continue as Executive Chairman, while Varun Khanna has been appointed Managing Director and Group CEO of the merged organization.

The combined entity said the merger strengthens its presence across South and Central India while positioning it for expansion in fast-growing healthcare markets beyond major metropolitan cities.

According to the company, its long-term growth strategy will prioritize Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, where demand for specialty healthcare services continues to rise. The network plans to expand specialist care, invest in advanced medical technologies, and strengthen centers of excellence closer to patients.

The company identified several non-metro markets as key growth hubs, including Nagpur, Aurangabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Bhubaneswar, Raipur, Nagercoil, Kolhapur, Kannur, Kasaragod, and Kottakkal. These locations are expected to play a larger role in increasing access to advanced healthcare services outside India's largest urban centers.

"The coming together of Aster and Quality Care as a single enterprise marks a defining milestone in our journey to build one of India's most trusted and future-ready healthcare institutions," said Dr. Azad Moopen, Executive Chairman of Aster DM Quality Care.

The merger consolidates four established hospital brands under one healthcare platform, expanding the group's geographic footprint and hospital capacity. With operations spanning 28 cities, the organization aims to strengthen specialty care delivery while addressing growing healthcare demand in emerging urban and semi-urban markets.
