Teladoc Health Expands Solo Platform With AI-Powered SoloVitals and SoloScribe

Teladoc Health has expanded its enterprise virtual care platform, Solo, with two AI-powered capabilities: SoloVitals, a contactless biometric monitoring tool, and SoloScribe, an ambient clinical documentation solution.

The company said the capabilities are designed to operate directly within the clinician’s virtual encounter workflow, allowing health systems to monitor select physiological measures and generate clinical documentation without deploying separate third-party software.

SoloVitals uses remote photoplethysmography (rPPG) technology to capture biometric data through a patient’s existing device camera. The technology analyzes subtle changes in facial skin coloration associated with blood flow to measure physiological signals without requiring physical contact or external devices.

The solution currently supports heart rate and respiratory rate measurements during virtual consultations. SoloVitals is in private preview with select enterprise health systems, with general availability planned for December 2026.

Teladoc Health has also introduced SoloScribe, an ambient clinical documentation capability that listens to clinical conversations and generates structured, specialty-specific summaries in real time.

SoloScribe is designed to support both direct-to-patient virtual visits and device-enabled telemedicine encounters, including inpatient telestroke carts and virtual intensive care unit (ICU) stations.

The documentation tool can also transfer structured clinical note summaries into electronic health record (EHR) systems, including Epic and Oracle Health, reducing the need for clinicians to manually copy and paste information between platforms.

SoloScribe is generally available across supported enterprise deployments, while SoloVitals remains in its private-preview phase.

The two capabilities expand Teladoc Health’s Solo platform beyond virtual consultations by adding contactless physiological monitoring and automated documentation within the same clinical workflow.
