Medical imaging platform Scan.com has raised $220 million in combined equity and debt financing, including a $90 million Series C round, to expand its US network of imaging providers and invest in its API and agentic AI infrastructure.

The Series C was led by Noteus Partners, with participation from Aviva, Concord Health Partners, YZR Capital and Oxford Capital. The remaining $130 million comprises debt facilities provided by VerisFi Capital and Atempo Growth.

Scan.com said the funding will support the expansion of its nationwide imaging provider network and further development of its technology infrastructure. The company connects payers, providers and patients with imaging centers through a single platform.

Founded in the UK in 2017, Scan.com entered the US market in 2023. The company said its platform addresses fragmentation in medical imaging, where patients can face lengthy waits and providers continue to rely heavily on phone and fax-based scheduling.

According to Scan.com, about 600 million medical imaging scans are performed annually in the US, while 85% of scans are still booked through fax or phone. The company also cited shortages of radiologists and imaging technologists as additional pressures on the system.

Scan.com’s platform combines imaging search, scheduling and results delivery through a national API. It integrates with independent imaging centers’ scheduling systems and electronic medical records, allowing referrals to be matched with available capacity and pricing.

The company said AI is embedded across its platform, with automated systems supporting referral matching, scheduling and documentation. Care guides are also available to assist patients during the imaging process.

Scan.com co-founder and CEO Charlie Bullock said the company is building infrastructure that allows employers, health plans and digital health platforms to connect to imaging capacity nationwide through a single API.

More than 900,000 patients have used Scan.com’s network globally, according to the company. Its revenue has doubled over the past year, surpassing a $165 million annualized run rate.
