Oracle Health & ID.me Partner to Simplify Secure Access to Health Data

Under the integration, healthcare organizations using Oracle Health solutions can allow patients to verify their identities digitally before or during check-in.

Oracle Health and ID.me have announced a collaboration to integrate ID.me’s digital identity capabilities into Oracle Health solutions, with the aim of simplifying patient intake and supporting provider credentialing for electronic prescribing of controlled substances.

Under the integration, healthcare organizations using Oracle Health solutions can allow patients to verify their identities digitally before or during check-in. Patients can also select which health records they want to share, reducing the need to repeatedly complete forms and streamlining registration workflows.

The collaboration also extends to providers who electronically prescribe controlled substances. Oracle Health customers can use ID.me to verify the identities and professional credentials of practitioners participating in electronic prescribing of controlled substances (EPCS).

ID.me said its network includes nearly 5 million medical professionals and provides an identity verification and authentication infrastructure for healthcare providers. Its EPCS credentialing service is currently used by more than 100,000 prescribers nationwide and is available to Oracle Health customers.

“Oracle Health is committed to making it easy for patients to access care and remain in control of their health data,” said Seema Verma, executive vice president and general manager, Oracle Health and Life Sciences. She said verified identity can support secure and interoperable data exchange while reducing repetitive administrative work for patients, clinicians and staff.

The integration is positioned alongside Oracle Health’s existing interoperability efforts, providing a mechanism for patients to access and share health information through verified digital identity.

“By bringing ID.me's trusted and reusable digital wallets to Oracle Health's ecosystem, we can help simplify the patient experience while also supporting high-assurance provider credentialing for controlled substances for interested health systems,” said Wes Turbeville, senior vice president of federal and healthcare, ID.me.

The companies announced the collaboration at the Oracle Health and Life Sciences Summit in Orlando, Florida, on September 24, 2026.
