Jupiter Hospital Commences Dombivli Unit Operation, Targets a 3,000-Bed Network

Jupiter Life Line Hospitals has announced the commencement of operations at its new Dombivli hospital, aimed at strengthening its presence in Maharashtra and advancing its long-term growth strategy.
The Dombivli facility is a planned 500-bed tertiary and quaternary care facility and has started with 200 operational beds in Phase I.
The fit-outs of the remaining 300 beds have already been completed with an investment of around INR 425 crore.
With the addition of the new facility, the hospital chain currently operates more than 1,250 beds across Thane, Pune, Indore and Dombivli.
As a part of its expansion strategy, the group further plans to expand its network to nearly 3,000 beds through upcoming hospitals in Pune South and Mira-Bhayandar.
The expansion is expected to enhance access to advanced healthcare services while addressing the growing demand for tertiary and quaternary care across key markets of Western India.
It is also strengthening specialised services, including oncology, organ transplantation, cardiac sciences, neurosciences, robotic surgery and rehabilitation.
The insights on the company's expansion strategy, investments, healthcare accessibility and the future of tertiary healthcare in India were shared by Dr Ankit Thakker, Managing Director & CEO, Jupiter Life Line Hospitals during a recent interview.
Further accelerating its growth momentum, Jupiter Life Line Hospitals has recently secured a bid from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) to acquire a land parcel in Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) for INR 354 crore.
The group plans to develop a 400-bed multi-speciality hospital at the site, further strengthening its presence in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region and supporting its long-term expansion strategy.
The expansion initiative is built on Jupiter Hospitals' commitment to expand healthcare infrastructure and improve access to advanced medical services across the western region of the country.
