Innovaccer has launched Gravity for Infusion, a specialized AI infrastructure platform designed to automate administrative workflows across the ambulatory infusion access lifecycle. Built on Innovaccer's Gravity autonomous operations platform, the solution integrates with existing electronic health records (EHRs), specialty pharmacy systems, and payer networks rather than replacing them. It uses autonomous AI agents to manage referral intake, benefits verification, prior authorization preparation, and appointment scheduling while keeping providers in control of clinical and financial decisions.
According to the company, Gravity for Infusion is designed to reduce administrative delays that often affect treatment initiation by automating repetitive operational tasks across the infusion access process.
The platform automates referral ingestion by extracting clinical information and patient context from incoming referral documents. It also verifies insurance coverage against payer policies, reducing the need for manual eligibility checks. For prior authorizations, the system compiles the required clinical documentation and medical history into payer-specific submission packages intended to reduce initial denials.
Gravity for Infusion also provides a centralized operational dashboard that offers real-time visibility into chair utilization, referral status across sites, and historical payer turnaround times. The dashboard is intended to help infusion providers monitor network capacity and coordinate scheduling across multiple locations.
Unlike fully autonomous systems, Gravity for Infusion incorporates a configurable human-in-the-loop governance model. Healthcare organizations can determine where staff review and approval are required throughout the workflow, allowing providers to review, modify, or approve AI-generated outputs before decisions are finalized.
