FUJIFILM India Launches Next-Generation Therapeutic Gastroscopes

The portfolio supports complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures through enhanced imaging, maneuverability, and therapeutic capabilities.

FUJIFILM India expanded its ELUXEO 8000 endoscopy portfolio by launching next-generation 800 series therapeutic gastroscopes and other advanced gastrointestinal (GI) scopes at Endocon 2026. The portfolio supports complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures through enhanced imaging, maneuverability, and therapeutic capabilities.

The expanded range includes gastroscopes, colonoscopes, duodenoscopes, and therapeutic gastroscopes designed for third-space procedures. The new scopes feature high-sensitivity CMOS imaging, enhanced bending capability, and a dedicated therapeutic instrument channel to improve access and control during complex gastrointestinal interventions.

A slim therapeutic model has also been introduced for procedures involving narrower anatomical spaces while retaining therapeutic functionality. The company said the design is intended to help clinicians navigate difficult-to-reach areas and perform advanced procedures with greater flexibility.

The therapeutic scopes complement the ELUXEO 8000 Endoscopy System, which offers 4K-ready imaging and Fujifilm's image enhancement technologies. The platform includes Amber-red Color Imaging (ACI), an observation mode designed to help clinicians identify subtle color differences associated with blood during therapeutic procedures.

The system is also compatible with Fujifilm's broader endoscopy portfolio and incorporates an integrated workflow for endoscopy suites, supporting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures on a single platform.

“India's gastroenterology landscape is evolving rapidly, with increasing demand for technologies that support both early diagnosis and advanced minimally invasive treatment,” said Koji Wada, Managing Director, FUJIFILM India. “The expansion of our ELUXEO 8000 portfolio reflects FUJIFILM India's commitment to equipping healthcare professionals with solutions that combine innovation, ease of use and clinical confidence.”

Dheeraj Chaudhri, Head – Endoscopy Systems Division, FUJIFILM India, said the new 800 series GI scopes are designed to provide clinicians with improved access, visualization and flexibility for complex gastrointestinal procedures, including third-space interventions.

The launch comes as gastrointestinal diseases, including digestive disorders and GI cancers, contribute to growing demand for early diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment options in India.
