By combining intelligent diagnostics with a connected digital workflow, FH Eyepal is expected to improve screening efficiency, enable early detection of eye conditions, and support better continuity of care.

Bengaluru-based Forus Health has launched FH Eyepal, a portable Digital Eye Clinic aimed at enabling healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive eye examinations beyond conventional hospital settings.

The new solution aims to make quality eye care more accessible by enabling healthcare providers to transform virtually any location into a fully equipped eye screening clinic within minutes.

Designed as a compact, portable solution, it can be deployed across primary healthcare centres, community health programmes, corporate wellness initiatives, vision camps, and home-based care settings

The solution integrates multiple components of an eye examination workflow into a single platform, including handheld vision screening, objective refraction using a handheld autorefractometer, subjective refraction through a digital wearable refractor, and high-quality retinal imaging using a handheld fundus camera.

It is intended to enable healthcare providers to perform comprehensive eye examinations using a single, integrated platform.

At the core of the solution is Forus Health's Digital Health Platform, which creates a unified digital patient record while managing the complete connected workflow from refraction to spectacle delivery through the Telecare portal.

The devices are seamlessly integrated through Bluetooth, ensuring uninterrupted workflow even in locations with inconsistent internet connectivity.

Powered by FH POISE, Forus Health's proprietary artificial intelligence platform, retinal images are analysed instantly to identify potential abnormalities and support timely clinical decision-making.

By combining intelligent diagnostics with a connected digital workflow, FH Eyepal is expected to improve screening efficiency, enable early detection of eye conditions, and support better continuity of care.

The solution is designed for flexible deployment across diverse healthcare settings.

It seeks to support healthcare providers by expanding screening programmes, improving operational efficiency, and delivering specialist-quality eye care to every community without the need for permanent clinical infrastructure.

Speaking on the launch, K. Chandrasekhar, Co-Founder and CEO, Forus Health, said, “Built on nearly a decade of experience in developing and deploying innovative ophthalmic technologies across multiple countries, FH Eyepal, The Digital Eye Clinic, represents the next step in that journey.”

“FH eyepal is far more than a collection of advanced imaging devices. It is a fully integrated digital eye care ecosystem that enables a complete eye clinic to be established virtually anywhere within minutes. By bringing together diagnostics, workflow, connectivity and clinical decision support on a single platform, we have removed many of the traditional barriers associated with setting up a conventional eye clinic,” he added.
