Advent International to Invest INR 3,150 Cr in Yatharth Hospitals for 24.9% Stake
Following the transaction, the Tyagi Family will remain Yatharth Hospitals’ largest shareholder and continue to guide the company’s long-term direction.
Yatharth Hospital and Trauma Care Services Ltd has entered into a definitive agreement with global private equity investor Advent International for an investment of INR 3,150 crore in primary capital, giving Advent a 24.9% stake in the listed healthcare provider upon completion of the transaction.
The deal remains subject to customary closing conditions. Following the transaction, the Tyagi Family will remain Yatharth Hospitals’ largest shareholder and continue to guide the company’s long-term direction.
The investment will provide Yatharth Hospitals with additional capital as it expands its healthcare network and strengthens its clinical and operational capabilities. Advent is also expected to bring its healthcare investment experience and global operating insights to the partnership.
Yatharth Tyagi, whole-time director, Yatharth Hospitals, said the investment would support the company’s next phase of growth. He added that Advent’s healthcare expertise and global experience would help the company expand its reach and capabilities.
Pankaj Patwari, managing director at Advent, said the investment reflects the firm’s continued focus on India’s healthcare sector. He noted that Advent expects structural growth in the sector driven by expanding access, improvements in quality and increasing consolidation.
Atin Jain, director at Advent, said Yatharth Hospitals has developed a healthcare platform in North India combining clinical capabilities with operational execution. He said Advent would work with the founding family and management team as the company expands.
Yatharth Hospitals is a listed healthcare provider with a growing presence across North India. The company is led by the Tyagi Family, which will continue to retain the largest shareholder position following Advent’s investment.
